It’s been barely three months since our last major update brought 64-channel live view and AI reports to FLEETA — and we’re already back with a full UX/UI renewal covering 10 new improvements.
In this video, Jeremie from the FLEETA team walks through everything that’s new, from a restructured menu tree to a redesigned Safety Events menu.
Here’s a closer look at each update.
01. Menu Tree Restructuring
The old flat menu structure is gone. The sidebar now follows a clear parent/child hierarchy, with related functions grouped together and a new landing page: Fleet View.
- Improved menu organization with logical grouping
- Sidebar collapse/expand functionality retained
- Language selection has moved to Settings
02. Device List UI/UX Update
The device list has been redesigned to go from a simple list to an operations-focused one. At a glance, you can now see:
- Driving status
- Online status (color-coded: online, needs registration, offline)
- Current address
The layout is more compact, making it easier to scan your fleet, especially with a large number of cameras.
03. Audit Log (Pro, Enterprise)
The new Audit Log lets you review user activity across your account, including:
- User login/logout activity, including IP address
- Key device configuration changes
- Live view and playback viewing history
This feature is not enabled by default and must be granted specifically to Owners or Admins. Driver accounts cannot be granted access.
04. Daily Dashboard
The new Daily Dashboard, located right under Fleet View, gives you an at-a-glance summary of your fleet’s last 24 hours:
- Total, online (driving/parked), and offline vehicle counts
- Total distance, driving time, average speed, top speed, and trip count
- Hourly event trends
- Vehicles offline for 24+ hours
- Today’s event distribution
- Top 10 vehicles by event count
- Real-time event feed
- Top 10 vehicles requiring attention
05. Region-Based Geofences (Pro, Enterprise)
Geofences let you get push or email notifications whenever a vehicle enters or exits a defined area. With this update, you can now select a country, state, or county in a single click instead of drawing the area by hand.
Manual geofence drawing is still available for polygons, ellipses, rectangles, and lines.
06. Better Multi Live View Event Alerts (Pro, Enterprise)
Previously, an event alert on Multi Live View showed as a red outline around the affected feed. Now, the entire thumbnail flashes with a red gradient overlay for 5 seconds before disappearing, making alerts much easier to spot. Every alert is still logged in the event log.
07. Multi-Channel Sync Playback
Available on every plan. Instead of reviewing each camera channel separately, you can now select up to three channels (front, rear, interior) and play them back in sync, from the same time period.
- Supported for both cloud storage and SD card playback
- Preparation time may vary depending on network conditions
08. GPS Data Export
Export GPS data gathered by your BlackVue dash cams from Management > Vehicle > GPS Export. Choose:
- Format: GPX, KML, or CSV — GPX and KML are compatible with most fleet tracking and GPS visualization software, while CSV is suited to spreadsheet analysis
- Camera(s): one or more
- Date range
- File grouping: a single combined file, one file per camera, or one file per date
09. New Safety Events Menu
Every event across your fleet, in one place. The new Safety Events menu lets you browse all Live Event Upload clips and filter by:
- Date
- Camera
- Event type (e.g., manual recordings, Parking Mode uploads)
Apply a filter and only matching events appear on screen, ready for playback.
10. Mobile App Device List Interface Update
The mobile device list has been redesigned for consistency with the Web Viewer, moving from a 3-row to a 2-row card layout. This keeps camera online and driving status visible while fitting more cameras on screen, especially useful if you’re managing multiple dash cams from your phone.
