We’re excited to announce the latest updates across BlackVue’s ecosystem, including our dashcam firmware, mobile and desktop apps. These updates bring more convenience, better accessibility, and increased reliability—whether you’re a solo driver or managing an entire fleet.
Firmware Update: New “Delete Video” feature
Managing your dashcam recordings just got easier with our new “Delete Video” feature. You can now delete recorded videos directly from the SD card while your dashcam is operating.
Please note: Videos cannot be deleted if they’re currently being downloaded, played, or uploaded to the Cloud.
BlackVue App: Fresh Look, Enhanced Functionality
We’ve redesigned the BlackVue App to be more intuitive and powerful. Here’s what’s new:
New Features
- Revamped UI: A cleaner, user-friendly interface makes it easier to navigate and control your dashcam.
- Cloud Storage for All: Every registered BlackVue camera now benefits from Cloud Storage, helping you keep important footage safe and accessible.
- Offline Mode: Use key features on your smartphone even without an internet connection.
Important Changes
- Login Required: All users must now log in with a BlackVue account. If you don’t have one, you can create it for free.
- Persistent Access: After logging in once, you can connect to your dashcam via Wi-Fi without needing an internet connection.
Stability Improvements
- Reliable Login: We’ve resolved previous login issues, ensuring your account stays logged in without unexpected timeouts.
Supported Operating Systems
- Android: Now supports OS 10 and up (previously OS 5)
- iOS: Now supports iOS 15 and up (previously iOS 13)
FLEETA App: Fleet Management on the Go
Fleet managers now have access to the FLEETA App, a dedicated mobile application designed for users on the Fleet Plan. It delivers powerful tools for monitoring and managing vehicles remotely. The app supports the same operating system versions as the BlackVue App for seamless integration across devices.
If you have a Fleet Plan already, you can transfer it to the FLEETA App.
FLEETA Web Viewer: A New Era of Fleet Viewing
The existing BlackVue Web Viewer has been discontinued and replaced with the new FLEETA Web Viewer. You can still get the 50% off one-year subscription offer at https://app.fleeta.io/?fleeta_promo=true until May 31, 2025.
Important: This new web viewer is exclusive to Fleet Plan users. Free, Lite, and Smart Plan accounts are not supported.
Windows/Mac SD Card Viewer: Cleaner Interface
The SD Card Viewer for Windows and Mac has been updated for a more streamlined experience. The Launcher screen and Home button have been removed, simplifying navigation and functionality.
