It’s easy to argue who’s at fault in case of an accident if there’s no other evidence. It’s harder to question one’s involvement if there’s dash cam video evidence!
Green light, speeding bike
BlackVue user Merpha shared the video recorded on his BlackVue dash cam. He was just crossing an intersection after the light turned green. He wasn’t going fast, but a speeding bike coming from the left crashed into his car. The biker went flying. Thankfully, he sustained no serious injuries.
Unfortunately, the biker tried to claim that it was Merpha who was speeding. The police who arrived at the scene took one look at the BlackVue dash cam footage and declared Merpha not at fault, as he was driving in accordance with the traffic law. He also received a compensation for the damage to his car from the insurance.
Dash cam saves the day
Merpha told us: “The best part is that when the police arrived, they asked me for more information about the dash cam than about the accident itself, as the accident was resolved in a minute! Generally, when there are injuries in an accident, it takes a lot of time to be resolved and the driving license can be temporarily withdrawn. I was lucky to have my BlackVue dash cam on board!”
